At first when i read the thread title, i thought "oh dear", however after seeing it trial fitted on the car, its going to look mint. Well done on a great idea to fix the XR front.

total cost so far is 250ish dollars.

100 bucks to Matt (Tochi) for a rather sad condition EL XR top half.
100 bucks to Jeff (Phatba) for the BA GT bar.
50 bucks for fibreglass kit and poly adhesive.

I love the look of it already... can't wait for the lights to arrrive so I can glass it together..

Then I can put it aside and stick the SC engine in... and at night return to sanding the bar and stuff.

sweet... the twin 4 inch lights just arrived.. so if I can get their mounts finished before this weekend, I can start glassing the bar. Good thing about these lights is that they also come with upgraded wiring and relay's so there is less resistance and more light as a result. They are also less deep than the real XR lights so will fit easily in my custom housings that are basically chopped down gli light bases.

Looking SICK. Very impressive. Can't wait to see the finished product.

yeah... I have some 5 1/4 130watt spotties for the corners, and some black grill mesh for the intake..

thinking of making a custom intake behind the XR inlet at the top..... I have all the bits already and there is a ton of room back there that is going to waste...
