I have just ordered a set of Yokohama Advan V103 tyres for my EL XR. They are meant to be an awesome tyre. I run the Yokohama C drives at the moment and am very happy with those. The advans are meant to be heaps better again though. They are costing me $378 per tyre but that is for a 245/40/17 not sure what you would be looking at for a 19 inch tyre.

19's uuumm i think u may be able to squeeze toyo proxes 4 for bout $380 a pop, good all round tyre, or i think GT radial make a 19 inch tyre they are cheapish but we havent had one complaint about them

Yokies in 19", you would need to look at something like AVS ES100's In 17's they are about 360ish each these would just top the $400 budget you have allocated yourself..
I got the ES100's on the XR at the moment, they stick like s**t to a blanket, good stiff walls pretty quite for a performance tyre, they warm up well but don't go to slop, large blocks that don't walk under heavy and continuous braking and acceleration, I've used em on the track a few times and the shoulders don't collapse easily. I imagine in a 19 the wall would be stiffer again further enhansing this as well. Very sharp turn in and very progressive and linear feeling tyre. I have run the C.Drives previously. they are an awesome tyre, but these are those few steps better again. For the $$ you need to have a genuine application for em as they are a little soft, I think the tread wear is about 190ish but they are a silica compound as well. so it cancels out the tread factor bit. Compared to something like the Good year Eagle F1's the yokies are the go. Dave

That's because the wally has 4wd tyres fitted ![]() They would last forever if he didn't do burnouts etc, they last heaps on 4WD's.

There is only 18psi in them, and they are old. I gave them to him to try, I've had them under the house for about 10 yrs, and they were about 2 or 3 yrs old when I got them.............hard as glass...........lol

The owner informs me he went up against a BA XR8 (auto) and left him behind, and the XR8 guy caught up later and said " Well done, mate". Then the owner informed him that it was a 250 Xflow, no gas, no turbo, and their jaws dropped.
