Unfortunately it is like paintwork, once paint cracks up (single stage paint) it's time to buzz it and
repaint

Once trims are fried by the UV, it is either replacement trim (better hurry cause there are only 15 to 209 EF/EL quarter ones left) or completely sand all the way back, prepare properly and then paint them

Daniel000 - as long as your trims do not have cracking/burn damage, they can be restored to better than new.

OK video of step 1 on the other side trims
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VozTOLbdZ8

We can now add the AU falcon sedans, wagons and utes to the list of B Pillar trims that are polishable
I am in the process of finishing off mine, I tried so long with foam pads but now am using a new style of pad

Takes some time but well worth it

the AU and the BA/BF doors are similar so I dont see why the AU's cant look as good as the BF's

It does suck that every product I'll be making will have to be patented, cause I know that they will be revolutionary and sell like hotcakes but if meguiars or any of the other big boys get their hands on them cause no patent is done and start selling it as their own, it's gonna be a field day for them and I will be out in the cold and kicking myself for being so stupid.

Do it man, if it takes a little longer to get the stuff fully on the market that sux but at least you've covered your a***, I do some work for a paint company who have had to patent some of their products if you like I can ask them what was involved or how they went about it?

Sure that would be great. I am doing the online application shortly

Dave - the AU B Pillars are not the same material and will not be as black or as glassy as the BF's
Got some pics for you now

As for the Bi Plane spoilers - from the factory they have an orangey/brown look to them and virtually no reflections at all
What trim dream and special foamed wool and then foam pads do is non abrasively clarify all of the layers, the heat of the polisher, pads and products remove the orange peely finish, all the foggyness and haze and make the surface go from feeling rough to being like a baby's bum - super smooth.

The more you polish them, the clearer and blacker they become
Unfortunately it will take hours to get anywhere near that result by hand

Oh ok. i just thought because the AU and BA/Bf's have the sme doors that the B pillars would be the same.

I applied trim Dream onto a Subaru Forester today (unfortunately no pics). The exterior trims were oxidized and had water spots etched into it. I did all 3 steps my machine and boy it came out shiny and smooth. The gloss was actually better than on my Au but thats proberly bcecause I did step 3 by hand on my car.
Owner of the car loved it.
