Hi, just dreaming at the moment but in due time i will be spraying my car myself when ive got the time & patience and have been thinking about some colours for the Mont.

My favourite so far would have to be "Ice Blue" found in the new Aurions and maybe even the "Acid Rush" colour found in the BA's....

Any ideas on other colours??? (affordable)

My wife has chosen that new purple on the VE SS commodores for her fairmont, I just need to paint my mates R33 skyline pearl orange and then I will start on the fairmont.

yeah that purple certainly stands out... you can spot one a mile away, looks ok but prolly not for me tho.

I also like that "Cola" (?) colour on the Mazda 6's but its too hard to photoshop it as its mostly black with the golden brown tinge all through it.

Oh I'm hearing you mate, I want to paint it a custom pearl brown or a "cola" type colour as you put it but she is set on a purple and I have to say I do like it.

galaxy blue from the AUXr range :)

seriously put like 6+ coats on the car and u will see the purple pearl come through looks real good!

iirc the AU2 galaxy blue has even more purple in it

ohh best idea when painting yourself
buy more paint than u need ( a car will be about 4-5 litres )

and thin the whole lot down at once! that way u know the paint is in the same ratio period and if a repair job is needed or touch up u have the EXACT paint colour to match

then again on monday nite i saw 1 paint colour with 6 shades due to improper thinngin and spray techniques!

if you guys are thinking about a dark 'coke' colour (and i think you do mean the drink  )
the VS HSV's had the Cherry Black colour because my mate has a Grange & a Senator both in that colour

But back on topic, i think the blue you chose looks better than the Acid Rush

ice blue that was what i was gunna do to my wagon before it was written off.
I was gunna get a real light colour, and get either a white or silver pearl. I rekon it would look awesome.

Also love that purple that the holdens have (gasp) but not sure how that would look on the ef.

It would suit a BA/F tho i rekon <<<(hmmm now that i have a BA currently in black)
