Go back to the pot hole, take a photo of it (if you can bring a news paper and take a picture with the date clearly visible) and then use the photos of the damage, send it the council and hope they repair it for you.

yeah pretty hard to have much luck with, if your real keen, do a search similair threads have preceeded this one....
