Does anyone know how to shave badges? eg. Replacing the background color of a ford badge? Thanks

I have done this before. You need to grind and sand down (carefully!) the back of the badge to get past the blue background and into the clear that the crome is encased in. I would suggest you practice on an old one as it is easy to stuff it up.($20 odd dollars for a new one).
I painted mine to match the body color of my Lemans Red EB and it actually came out very wel (was asked on numurous occasions where I'd bought it). With the carbon fibre backing you would need to attach it to the badge with a clear glue or paint making sure there are no air bubbles. Iit won't show through very well without glueing.
