Hi people,
Sick FG's, I bought a FGII limited edition ute in November last year, Have done a few mods, suspension and roof wrap. exhaust and wheels to come. and heaps more, eventually get it tuned.

Did you ever run the FG down the 1/4? It's odd that you only made around 180rwkw with all the mods done hey... Who tuned it?

Who tuned it? nah never actually i had a mate chuck his haltec in for a highway run once it ran a couple of high 13s. it was all done by elite and they are well known for conservative numbers but i asked them later on about it and apparently it was tuned for sports mode but dynoed in standard drive mode so that could explain it or maybe not i don't know............ but the turbo should be sweet for 350rwkw lol.

Sports mode and normal drive are pretty much the same though, just different shift characteristics.
Just seemed odd that it would only make that much, when you've got people making 190+ with basic bolt mods. But then again, like you said, it was a conservative dyno.

yeah when they went through the dyno sheet with me before i got to drive it i was really disappointed as i thought i had picked the right combo of mods to achieve the 200kw atw that i was hoping for but then i planted it on my way out of there in first and it was a completely different car so i was happy. but i suspect the real figure was higher because it would turn the tyres hard from a rolling start redlining into second and whe the roads were damp it would do the same when i was cruising in third and then decided to downshift into second hard with the traction control off............ but i have given up wondering because it had enough guts to impress a few mates that had force fed cars in stock form so there is definitely a lot to be said for the na straight six.

Yeah man. I wheel spin 4th if it's wet, f**k scary when i go to over take on the highway when it's wet, and I've only got exhaust intake and no tune yet.

It's annoying when I tear it up the road with TC ON and it's wet, as it will engage the TC at take off, but then it s**t itself and just fish tails. At least with the TC OFF, it will just wheel spin the entire time and go straight.
