Ok so we have the E series, the AU's BA's and BF's all on show and there are some seriously sexy cars... makes me wish i could go back in time and keep some of mine...
but i just bought an 09 XR6 and iv done some small mods and it got me thinking... surely there are some really nice FG's that have been pimped out beyond recognition... so please if you have got an FG and you have only put a set of mags on it.. or completey changed the look of the car... show us some pics...

hey mate here is a pic of my 2010 Fg xr6 in ego im working towards a full stealth setup with a silent rotrex supercharger system here are some pics from last year before the sound was finished.
Pretty basic mods at this stage. Full growler cold air sytem including big mouth air dam pioneer sound front to back six inch splits front + six inch rears + slimline sub running through an l6i line converter for clarity into a four channel digital speaker amp then onto a dig 800w mono block for sub. Gloss black door spears+ dash spears> originally s**t silver. Replaced rear muffler and tip with hooker aerochamber and shiny dual tip powder coated stock wheels dropped on super lows all round ammeter and voltmeter gauges dropped into the little rear of centre console basket - only come with utes so you may not know what im on about lol but they are for monitoring the power the sound system is drawing with engine off. Under icc triple gauge holder trans temp oil temp oil pressure all cobalt. Let me know what you think. chris.

Looks nice with the powder coated XR rims... Love it dumped on its a**, just wounderingg if the big mouth with the growler system work well, was the alot of a differance?

Um lets see the growler it is a good piece of equipment in my opinion however well over priced only reason i have one is because when i inquired at all my local parts shops the 12 year old at my local super cheap made a mistake when he gave me a written quote on top of the out dated cheaper price they had on their computer system so i landed it for a bit over three hunge does sound good though probably better with a resonator as it can drone at steady high way speeds. But it did make a noticeable difference to exhaust note and throttle response when i say noticeable i dont mean massive lol. Hot tip go to autobarn and order a shiny stainless autotecnica branded one completely legal as it screws in solid and does the same job for 225 bucks you would Probably not be able to tell between growler and autotecnica one. The other thing is if you plan to lower it do it with adjustable coilovers probably cost you about 1800 bucks but trust me you will be better off as i have been searching for over 12 months for shortened shocks to match ride height and improve driveability as the standard shocks ride like s**t lowered which i anticipated however assumed if noone had produced shortened shocks for fgs yet that i wouldn have to wait too long however monroe and countless other manufacturers have advised me that they have no plans to produce a product for lowered fg falcons so just thought id give you the heads up there mate. You should charge it mate there is at least a handful of people that have decided to force feed these things the traditional way and i am merely months off doing that to mane as well haha. My new baby, just traded the AUII XR8 on this bad boy...
I havent done much to it, just the wheels, tinted the windows, few billet alliminium caps and such... Also a K&N panel filter and removed the restrictor... love the car, next thing is the big mouth kit, on its way... cant wait...  hope you like guys...

looks fantastic dude love the wheels i reckon the black wheels on silver or white xr6 lowered is one of the best combos you can have. Would you say its quicker than your au? I know yours had 220 kw but i reckon in a straight line these things reasonably quick i have bested a few ss commodores from that sort of era. Lol

yea its quicker, but iv got the k&n filter and removed the restrictor, helps a bit... the wheels are a metalic gun metal grey but they are dark as F**k... love em, next up is tail light tint to go with the wheels and window tint... going light and dark... also a DJR bobtail spoiler...

Hey Guys,
Just picked up my new XR6 today and will start to play with it over the new few months. First stop is wheels and already think a set of the FPV DARK AGENTS would look great on my white ute. Look forward to seeing more of everyones rides. |
