Love the new DC Lowlane.....what colour is that? Would be a rare one as I've only seen a few like that before.
I'm currently in the process of clearing out all of my DC LTD spares, as well as the DL I have here.....oh, and a 94 laser :P Got a bloke on his way now to pick up power steering pump and water pump. Don't seem to be having any trouble moving the DC bits, but the DL remains largely intact....can't give away spares off it!
Cheers,
Mick

You dont happen to have a DL drivers side door mirror do you mate, i'm trying to get one that has the 3 mounting pins intact and not snapped off. Its hard to find them intact.

IT'S ALIIVE!!! Lol.

@NCIILANE, I had always thought mine was "another cardinal red V8".. Untill I did a close look at the pic you put under it.. I thought it was just the light, but it dose look like a deeper purple..

It will be a while before I get her out. I have to finish the Lane first...

What wood grain do you have from the DL?

@Gregrobinson.. I had a little moment looking at the Concorde too... They are lovely.

I saw a silver one last year at the local show...

And I'm still trying to convince my missus uncle that the set he has would suit my car.... No luck yet...

Your DF looks like its getting the works done... Can't wait to see the new paint :-D

Here's a few pics of the NL/DL :P It's actually a NL Fairlane, but a pretty convincing DL LTD Mockup.....we always thought it was a DL until my son got it from the father in-law and the compliance plate showed it as a NL :(

That's enough teasers for now, has good strong motor, LPG setup, cappa leather interior etc, etc
Have to go out for a while now, but will check back in later to answer any questions :D

That shifter surround would go nice in the Lane... But it's manual :-(/:-)

There is a NF/L V8 at the wreckers I got some chrome handles from but the locals have owned it so the interior is pretty ratty and the wood grain spears are peeling..

I noticed in the DC it's actually wood painted with laquer, the paint is cracking but it looks easily restorable..

My mate found a "wood grain" radio surround.. But the wood grain is like a plastic sticker they have slapped over the panels of a standard surround...

How much for the door trims? I only really need the wood grain spears if they are easily removable to save freight...

Thanks mate, they're SSL's all round and sitting on Pedder Comfort Shocks. I paid a bit more and went with Pedder over GT Monroes as i wanted to keep as much of the Fairlane ride smoothness which the comfort shocks did really well. The GT Monroes would have been very stiff and bumpy.

I have the Monroe GTs and SLs, while it feels stiffer as it would when you lower a car it isnt that harsh or bumpy that I'm complaining.
I've done several trips to Adelaide and back and with different load weights. No problems.

When these do fail though (coming on 5 years old now and still goin good though) I'm going to look into other brands and do a decent comparison.

I was after that aerial/demister insert without the gas switch. Very hard to find! I need the rear quarter window interior surround plastic things. Do yours have that fluffy feel to them or just hard plastic?

I'm sure I'm going to need a lot more when I start piecing mine back together again so I'll keep you in mind for all the little bits n pieces as freight will be a issue for the bigger stuff.

cheers!

Yeah, that's the only aerial/demister insert I have for this model, and it does have the LPG switch which I have to remove, as it will be sold with the full LPG system. The interior trim is all the hard plastic style.
Put together a list of the bits you need when you get around to it and I'll see what I have. If you have a business address I can post to I can do it from work and it's fairly cheap.
Cheers,
Mick

Thanks NCIILANE. I will let you know what things I will need. I'm sure I'll have a huge list once I start piecing her back together!
They paint shop has started painting my LTD (under bonnet and boot). just gonna pop a photo of the colour to see what you all think.. cant wait to see the whole car in this colour!! Its also only one coat so the finish product may be a little darker.
Its a bit hard to tell colour from photos but here it is..

The colour is called 'bright blue pearl metallic' its actually a GM paint code  but not sure what model its actually on, pretty sure something American. I was trying to get Apollo blue, same as XB GT blue but couldn't get it without a sample.. something I didn't have. even the code was no good. anyway, that was closest I could find.

NCIILANE, Are you interested in selling those wheel arch chrome bits? if so are they in good nic? was thinking of putting them on mine, not sure until I see them on it :)

I'll get them off the car and take some close-up pics if I find any damage, but I think they're still pretty clean! I was looking at a set for my BA Fairlane, but they want $300 a set.......but don't worry, if you want these you can have them for $50 + post
