This guy sells a lot of E-series parts as a Limo supplier, but bloody pricey!

I'll get them off the car and take some close-up pics if I find any damage, but I think they're still pretty clean! I was looking at a set for my BA Fairlane, but they want $300 a set.......but don't worry, if you want these you can have them for $50 + post [/quote]

sounds good. See how they come up n we'll sort something out.
I'll PM my details once you get them ready. Car won't be on road for a while so no rush. Thanks!

My new toy.
1993 model nc fairlane, Only a 6, but will still make a nice cruiser.

Just for interests sake, how hard would it be to fit an el v8 auto (from an ltd) into this?
Not a likely endeavour but something I'm curious about.

Needs a new bonnet and boot, and has a scrape on the drivers side but overall very clean for its age and what I paid.

Plans once it's on the road are lower, wheels, exhaust and tinted windows.
Beyond that I haven't thought too much haha

And Jeffrey having a real good check of the car haha

Nice pick up on the Cardinal NC :D
You could go V8 or you could buy the Tickford Greentop 6 out of my NCII Sportsman, just a pity you're in the wrong state :P

Yea, nice pickup!

Aren't green rockers for the Tickford gas engine? Or was that the fashion for the sportsman?

Hey the fairlane towing the fairlane looks cool. If you can get last months just cars (ill try take a pic today if I can find it) there is a tow car that's been made out of a NC V8.. Like a 6 wheeler ute! I SO WANT IT!! But they got a crazy price on it!

They are specific to the Sportsman for the NC's, being the Tickford motor. Unfortunately I have decided that she is not worth repairing and am planning to part out when rego runs out next month. The motor is very strong and I just put a new water pump on it. Rust has killed this baby
I know the NC Flatbed towtruck you speak of, been pics circulating on other sites for a while, think he wants like $12k for it! Tried finding a pic of it, but look what I found instead

Always nice to find random pics of your car on the web, shows others appreciate it for what it is as well.......and even a Holden guy liked it :P

Haha, thanks, just a little bit in the wrong state, and I imagine shipping cost would be a prick.

Found what looks to be oily sludge in the coolant reservoir today -.-
Hopefully it's just grime and not a head gasket (oil is clean though, so I'm not sure...).
If it is the gasket though, it's a perfect excuse for an EL motor, BBM and serpentine/thermofans conversion haha.

I love cardinal red, my favourite colour on these along with the black.
I'd love it to be as clean as yours NCIILANE.

Your car is what made me want one of these in the first place.

Yeah that's the one. Haha, what machine! Of all cars to start with too, yeah let's chop that fairlane up!

And as NCIILANE mentioned it was around 12k he was asking!

That woulda made your day finding that photo too NCIILANE.. Love it being the first comment too from the Holden bloke.

Random one. I was looking the other day and noticed that the DC LTD was only 1700 made, and were 54k new.... And I was given mine.... I joke with a bloke I know who has a charger and is always harping about the 1700 build number... F**k he gets snooty.

Wants 18k for it on gumtree!
http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/1033459518

Awesome machine, definitely not my first choice of car if I was doing it lol.
Has a momo wheel in it, jealous! Haha

Also, my suspicions earlier were confirmed by my dad's mate, definitely the head or head gasket (runs like a dream and oil is clean though, but water is oily and grimey) so I am now weighing up my options
Either
A) EL motor + BBM conversion + serpentine/thermo conversion (preferred option)
B) eb/ed or el motor, and run all original intake etc.

Just need to find answers to my few questions I have about it then the decision will be made.

There's something really cool about seeing it with the old Holden wagon on the back haha

Option a is what I want, but it's my first job even close to this big so I don't wanna go too far in the deep end at the start.

Will send you a PM soon.
