I've been thinkin about maybe pullin side plastics off and smoothing out the side panels, and filling over the front and rear bar trim that matchs the sides. anyone got any pic's of a early E series with like a Gun Metal colour. was thinking of doin that.

body colour the side strips! and get a new chrome strip of body colour that as well... side strips removed look s**t.

i dont quite understand you. Isnt the side strip and chrome bit all the same mould? how did u do it on ur ED. I also need to get a one bit from the left side just in front of rear wheel. you know of anyone tryin to get rid of their trims.

definately color code the sidemoulds and do not remove. i would go for orange but more towards a coppery tone to stand out.... oh and dont forget the doorhandles and mirrors

yeah yeah definitely gonna do handles an mirrors. would they come up the same as the panels though cos they're a werid type of plastic. will a gloss finish just do it?

the silver strip just peels off you can buy the strip new from autobarn

yer i think the chrome is built in on the sides but replaceable front and rear still id just paint the lot

I say black...with maybe a bit of pearl of dark. Or Cobalt Blue is always noice.

hi. as you can see in my original picture im missing the plastic trim just behind the rear door. Would anyone have one of these they dont want. it doesnt matter if its not chrome cos i will be painting it. Sorry i cant put this in appropriate thread because i havent got enough posts rackd up. cheers.
