I would like to see how people have done it. Thats what im talking about. The GLi/Futura MUST be different to the Fairmont/Fairlanes. Just want to see what people have done. Ohhh...in that case I'll just keep my mouth shut. phong =P~

I didn't have a hump there...then again mine is a Fairmont....You are talking about the centre rear light hump yeah?...hmmm maybe i didn't notice it that much when I made my custom parcel shelf. I'm certain it wasn't in the way....ah wells guess I was wrong. phong =P~ I reckon the Fairmonts must have a different parcel shelf to accomodate the possibility of a sub. No GLis/Futuras have subs as standard so they didn't need a parcel shelf like that Yeah thats what im saying. The parcel shelf cover is different between the two. There is no parcel shelf difference between models.
The parcel shelf carpet isn't glued down or anything, what you are thinking is the centre of the hump is just the carpet sloping down from it, they wouldn't cover up the sub hole and have to use a different centre brake light between models.

Can't post pics for ya...too lazt to recharge camera
 . But all I did was cut a piece of 19mm MDF to about 12" square. Then cut hole in centre for 10" sub (but the sub actually mounts against this rather than thru it). Then I bolted the whole lot up from underneath. Biggest drama I have had is that the original material they made the shelf out of (that poxy thin s**t) fell apart and started rattling inside the sub. Sounded like the sub was cactus . Also had to put silicon on all the bolts as they always rattle loose.

For an 8", take off parcel shelf carpet, put sub in hole, put carpet back over the top of the sub/shelf.
Worked for me
