Don't pay too much attention to the trip computer, work out your L/100 yourself when you fill up. I would be expecting around 500kms to a tank though, you sound like your getting a bit short. On my last fillups my XT did 11.6L/100 and the XR6 did 13.7L/100kms.

yeah u should get better than 16L/100km on the freeway. my EL sits on 8 or 9. disconnect your oxy sensor, and if the reading is any better then get a new one. also check how old your plugs, leads and dizzy are.

Yeah thats definately not a good consumption. Unless you flog the absolute crumpet out of it.
The old man's BA V8 Ghia gets around 12l/100km with mixed driving, and thats with me getting the boot into it a little. I would expect at least 500km's out of an AU if its a 6. I can get further on a tank than you're getting atm. Thats in a blown XR8, that gets given some herbs quite often and gets warmed up for 5-10mins everytime it gets started... I'd give it a good service, and do the plugs, filters, etc, while you're looking at the oxy sensor.

its all well and good saying i get this in "city driving"
but everyone has different interpretations. for a more accurate figure, post up your average speed and average comsumption. like atm, mine on my EF reads 14.4 with an average speed of 34km/h

 geez...
Do you do alot of stop start driving? - ie: in city? My xr6t sits on about 12.8, around town and highway driving. Soon as I give it a decent squirt it jumps up a bit
