you have to completly remove the white rectangle bit(looking inside from the back of the unit, as elf100capri says)behind the odo.
throw it away. swap the original bulb for a blue one, or put a blue cover over a clear bulb.

the odometer needs the filter or paper to spread the led light out, (haze the led with 320 sandpaper too) otherwise the light will be brighter in the centre of the lcd

cool. cheers.. i thought it mite be something like that...i have those 3-in-1 led bulbs so hoping they'll get the spread without sanding...bit fiddly! hopefully done this weekend or next at he latest so will post some picks here if it works ok..

Just put the blue bulb in it. It looks mint.. might sand the top of the bulb a little cause its a lil brighter in the middle but not enough to worry me

So...can anyone tell me how to take the aircon module out so that i can change the globes that are soldered in? haha

Yeah...thanks.

How do i get it out of the dash? I unplugged 2 plugs, but theres still a bit yellow connector thing attached...how does that come off

sorry kinda hijacked your thread..i'll be pulling everything out of my dash tomorrow(if it doesn't rain too much...i got no cover.)
if i can do my aircon, i'll let you know.
