hey all

i'm currently in the process of stripping my 2 'coons - the EFII Ghia wreck i bought at my mates place, and my EF Futura in my bosses double-garage whilst he is away! :)

so tonight after my touch-rugby game i stupidly decided to drive straight up & take the body loom from the 'Mont. not an easy job, with no working torch, and being unable to open the passenger doors fully :roll:

however, after much mucking around, cursing, splitting of skin, and calls to greg (Happy) - i did it! lol

and this is what i've had to strip both cars down to in order to do the change-over:

goodbye seats/door trims/carpet/kick panels/boot carpet/bolsters/steering wheel/centre console - its a big mess at the moment! :P

its a mission, but will be worth it in the end!

well - a massive thanks to greg (Happy) and benn (ugly igley) for coming over & working until midnight - although much beer was provided! :P

besides a few tense moments with greg removing the alarm system, and a lack of power when trying to turn it over (due to some plugs not being re-connected! lol) it all went well!

so as of tonight, i have a fully-functional Fairmont Ghia body loom, and we also fitted the rear electric windows although these won't work until the dash loom is upgraded. a few little things have to be sorted here & there, but happy it all works again, and the interior can start going back together as of tomorrow night! :)

ahh yes, the forgotten plugs ... I am now king of alarm removal and cutting out lol ... man I'm tired...
