hi, does anyone know where abouts the front ambient temp sensor is mounted on the front of an ef fairmont and how it is held in?

well on the EB it is attached just under or beside the condensor.

Hey there... It is behind (or under) the bit of plastic that covers the gap between the front bumper and the air con / radiator. More accurately - It is screwed or otherwise connected via a similarly shaped object (bolt?) to the bit of plastic that smooths the airflow out from the front air dam up to the radiators proper.
If you pull the bit of black plastic that sits on top of bumper and covers the hole between bumper and radiator support part of actual metal car you should attach it to the bit down there where your horn is... Hmm... Confused much? |

How about this...
You know that black plastic shroud that the bumper release lever sticks through...? PULL IT OUT. The next bit of plastic down STAYS where it is. That is the cavity that the ambient sensor goes in. |
