how do you get the climate control unit out of an EL FAIRMONT to change the globes looked at it and was scared of breaking the unit

You need to remove the dash surround to get to the CC unit mounting screws.

Take the dash surround off, there are four screws holding it in.

Once the four screws are undone, you will need to unclip the plastic hose which is plugged into the back of the CC unit.
