G'day again,
A few days ago I decided to wash the dashboard mat from my AU2 via the washing machine as it looked a bit dirty and needed a wash. Bad mistake, now the dashmat does not stay rigid and moves around too much like its made from tissue. Is there a way to restore its stiffness? Thanks |

only way i can think of, is to spray [maybe] quick drying glue to the back/base of the mat, with or without a separate backing. will need to make sure of it's shape whilst drying tho. otherwise throw out & replace.

Mad2,
I was looking for a replacement from the local wreckers , unfortunately none around for my vehicle being an AU2. I looked at Supercheap, they have universal types but one has to cut and punch holes in them, that's no good, stitching and material would come off if I was to go down that path. Good idea about using a spray glue, I'll give that a go. Any particular spray glue? Thanks |

Why dont you just use velcro tabs to hold it in place then it wont move around.
