Have you got any pics of the covers before they went on, showing the back/ inside of the covers and the method used to secure them to the seats??

Nah didn't take any of them before hand, but i'll take off the back seat and take a photo next time im out there.
I'll be doing a write up on this, on how i went about everything, the DO's and DONT's i came across, etc.[quote]

That looks absolutely stunning!
Are you going to re-spray the handbrake?
will look good once the door trims have the insert in there along with black door handles?

yeah respraying the handbrake when the weather is actually decent.
and the handles will probably be cream to blend in with the insert!

thanks for the kind words everyone.

I'm not too sure about the best mod, but it's definitely worth digging into the wallet for.
Hopefully it all ends up looking pretty good.

Yeah i ordered them through those guys, but it's never the simple $599 it says on ebay.
All of mine set me back $1,000.

I recommend getting perforated centers, makes it look much nicer.
I'm not a big fan of most of the colors, but for an ivory color they looked nice.

next thing i need to research is what i'm going to do with the engine.

I don't want to turbo or supercharge the EF engine, it's done nearly 200,000 now and i'd really like to get my hands on a BA XR6T engine, and get that dropped in, and work it up to 290rwkw +

But depending on how much it'd set me back and how long it'd take, i'll have to put a good amount of research into it.

Obviously, labor would be a s**t load, so hopefully I can find someone interested in doing it for me at a reasonable and affordable rate.
If anyone knows anyone that's done this conversion before and would be willing to help out send them my way!

Also, i'd have upgrade a lot of things like gearbox, brakes, all that jazz.

But that's the plan for the next year or two.
Better start saving.

I hope you realize that your covers are not actually leather, but in fact vinyl. Not saying that they don't look good , but don't want you thinking you have paid for one thing and gotten another.

Yeah i know it's not true leather, which for me would of been such a waste of money.
a) more expensive
b) it cracks
c) it needs to be conditioned and cleaned, which i know i wouldn't do that often.

Plus I'm not sure if i'll be keeping my car for a while or selling it over the next 2 years, so I didn't want to go all out of a full $3-4k interior.

yeah i would indeed!
it's comfy enough inside, don't see the point in spending so much on "real" leather when you can get something that looks similar and is a lot less to buy.

obviously i'd only spend the money on an engine conversion if i'm keeping the car for a good while.
