Has anyone ever dyed leather before?

Wanting to do it to my new EL Fairmont GHia interior. Its in crappucino but I want to dye it to give it a decent finsih.

Also does anyone ahs any idea how to repair rips in leather?

You have to replace the section of the leather that is ripped.. I have been trying a few places around here to find out for my seats. They reckon dying is a f'kn expensive task as they have to get into all the grooves where the stitching is, and even then the colour may not even look that consistent. Better off just fixing the rip and trying to get that colour matched. or fully replacing the leather if you want to change colour.

Id look as fixing it up or getting full custom!

Yeah, I need to fix it up, Just wondering if there was an easy way to dye it.

It miay sound stupid (never thought of this before) what about hair dye?

I dont want it ot be perfect, but I want it to look good.

hair dye? what colour do you want the leather to be? because you will have plently of black and blonde dyes to choose from!

IF you are going to play around with dye dont use hair dye, use fabric dye. I reckon it will probably turn out looking crap though - a nice cheap way to ruin your leather.

Yeah well Im sure there has got to be a leather dye out there somewhere.
