Okay people, Stupid question time.....

Does the EL steering wheel fit onto the steering column via a spline set up like the earlier E Series Falcons?

Cheers for the quick replies fellas.
I thought it may have been a square peg set up rather than the traditional splines but wasn't entirely sure.
This is why I love this site....So many knowledgable people here.
