I was thinking tonight (and f**k it hurt) that I need more things lit up on my dash. My rear demister button is nice and pretty but how do I wire up my rear wiper switch and electric areial switch to make them light up?
What do I need any where can I get theese fir my EF Futura? |

Ok rephrase.
What colour wire behind the dash lights the rear dmeister switch? I might just tap into there. |

i havnt pulled my demister switch apart to have a look if it can be illuminated, but i dont see why it couldnt. maybe a little 3mm white led could be fitted?
have a look for a brown wire in the dash (trip computer plugs), this has 12V running through it when the headlights are on. cant think where else this brown wire goes, but i know its on the trip computer plug, tap in there? good luck mate ryan |

actually, i might go have a look, cos if it works, i might add lights to the fuel door and boot release buttons as well as the demister...

I was thinking of doing this too but there is s**t all room behind them and even if you did fit the LED somehow...it wouldnt show through as im pretty sure its solid plastic with the pics painted on the top

I assume Fairmonts get their electric areail button lit up, how is the question.

Uh, judging by the first photo in the Blue Neon Dash mod, the power aerial button is lit up pretty much the same way as the rear demister button, as it's on the same panel..

yeh they are exactely the same.. was just putting blue sleeves over them then.. to try make them blue ;s looks more aqua to me

What do I need any where can I get theese fir my EF Futura? I'm pretty sure all three of these switches are illuminated from the factory, the rear demist and aerial ones are in my Fairmont. They could just have blown globes, Ford have them in their spares departments.

No I have the switches not hooked up to anything, I want to hook them up to lights them up only ATM.
