the light works when turned on but open the doors and it wont work.
what is wrong?

Maybe the sensors on the door are shat. My EF decides to not turn on sometimes because the sensor in the door sticks shut.

Pull the door switches out and run a nail file around the contact area of them.
Worked a treat with mine.
