also just a quick question, what side is the positive side of the led. Is it the side with a flot spot and also the resistor goes on te positve side doesn't it.

dunno, but if u look into the LED the reisistor joins to the smaller one.. (can see in picture above)

Doesn't matter which side the resistor goes on - so long it's there to drop the voltage, as the LED runs on 3.2V - 3.4V. As far as the lay person goes, don't worry too much which is +ve and which is -ve, test the setup, if it doesn't work, reverse the lead connection.

cool guys,

Okay i just bought the stuff. I bought a pack or resistors, now the only prob is they out of the 12 types none of them have labels as to the ohms. Does anyone know where i could a get a chart with the colours for resistors and the ohms.

tahnks fellas, i did it, The demister switch looks much better now that it lights up. Now i am wanting to do the whole cluster. How much do you reckon the little plugs at teh back of the cluster go for at the wreckers.

nah man, the globe holders in the cluster. Because i like chunkz stuffeverythin up, so what i do is buy one the part from the wreckers then i mod that one and keep the origanl for when i think the moded one looks s**t.

just buy a packet of narva blue led globes.. for ~25 bucks and it saves messing around..

Yeah straight plug and play swap over for arounf 30 bucks. I did mine like that and was defintely worth it.

i got my packet for 20 ;) hehe but i think they retail at 25 in PErth
