							Hi there
I have just fitted a central locking actuator to my rear door, works fine but it operates in reverse of the rest of the doors. Does anyone have a proven trick/ fix for this?? Cheers

Nope plugs straight in, wires are in the same spot (colours the same also) as the old actuator.
My EF is a 1994 model. The actuator seemed to have 96 on it - odnt know if this is useful though. Cheers

hmmm... easiest thing I suppose is swap two actuators and see if the problem follows, if it doesn't then you have a wiring problem, if it does then you have an actuator problem.

Could it be as simple as the new actuator being in the opposite position to the other 3 when it was installed. IE new actuator was in lock position where others were unlocked or vice versa.

The front and rear actuators look the same but they are slightly different - fronts have 4 wires, rears have 3 wires.
The front and rear actuators work in opposite operation - try swapping the lock/unlock wires (red/yellow & yellow/black).

Actually made a real obvious mistake, the arm on the lock itself has 2 holes, i put the actuator stirrup through the wrong hole lol. it works great now!
My window reg decided to have a spaz at the same time, i put some vaseline on the bailey channel and it seems to work great now, althought the weather here is a bit "hows ya father" so it may not last

The spare hole is for the rear door snipper button, which EA-ED had, but was deleted from EF/EL's.
