Did this mod quite a while ago

My dash, prefer the orange odo myself. The heater panel, ashtray/lighter and t bar are blue.

bought some t10s for my EB, they suck! can anyone recommend good t10s that illuminate the dash properly

I had a bag of 100 red, blue, white, yellow and green LEDs I bought off ebay a while ago, was like 10 bucks including postage
 . I hadn't read this thread before modding the dash so I used 680 ohm resistors for the blue LEDs as they were something like 8000mcd. I could make them brighter but it has a nice ambient lighting. I only sanded the led for rear window demister (see pic for light spread), that took a bit of fiddling around to fit into the existing holder.I also replaced the odometer light with a 6000mcd amber LED, which i lightly sanded all over to give a wide throw of light. You don't need to sand the end of the LED flat, just sand it all over lightly so it looks frosted.

just did the courtesy lights, climate, trip and dash conversion in my EBII not really pleased with the dash but rest look awesome , ill try get pics up when can get hold of decent camera as mine is in the shop being repaired

EA series 2 Ghia... late 1990   Did the whole lot.. trip and climate control button lights.. had to solder those last ones... came out great.. but the trick was not to use single leds for me.. I bought the ones that have 6 or more LED's clustered together in each T10 light socket.. they fit the same but they give off an awesome light. |
