hey 1st i tried search

ok well its time to upgrade and im looking at a ba/bf xr6 now im addicted to sound systems and i have a full system in my el fairmont and i want to take the deck subs amps and speakers out and put them into a ba/bf when i find one that i like

my question is where do i put my deck?? some pics would be nice lol

and if i cant put a deck in can i use the stocker system with aftermarket amps and if so where do the remote and rca's go?

i have seen aftermarket setups put in where the tissue box holder was. seems to be a snug fit. I imagine the plastic sides of the holder would make an awesome mounting bracket.

but in all serious, what does it matter if its low there? fits well and looks good (doesnt look too out of place)

use a high to low level converter for the rca's, which will tap off the rear speakers...
as for the remote, it will have to be hooked to accessorys or some kind of switched power

if you do that you can run it through the AUX on the factory headunit, this way you dont lose your volume controls on your steering wheel

yep, just use something similar to those looms they sell on ebay for connecting your ipod to the factory deck... only with rca's instead, once again using a high to low level converter

there are at least three topics on this already but anyhow, here's mine, it doesn't go through the wheel switches though. I have heard there is a way to keep them but i don't bother.

Ohh and high to low convertors are dodgy 99% of people shudder at the thought of using them.

I read a tutorial a while ago (cant remember where i saw it) that explained where to solder RCAs to inside the deck, before the amplification stage... i cant seem to find it though...
