hey all
just a question on the rear power windows - i have a futura, so have the front power windows, and was looking to fit rear ones. now the q is do you need to run the windows thru the main wiring - i.e. do i have to run a 4-window switch on the centre console or can i just have the switches on the rear doors? as if i can, i'd rather just wire up the rear doors on their own... cheers

I'm pretty sure you can do just the rear switches. It would just be a matter of not wiring up the front ones!

Yep, should work without a hitch, just make sure you run them through the power window fuse for easy replacement access in case one overloads.

not necessarily, if i have upgraded door trims which, in order to look complete, need to have the rear electrics fitted in them...

yes BUT you can control the rears from the front as well...
![]() ie driving along and wind the rear window down for more airflow

yeh i can understand that... when u wire them tho it would be worth running the wireing to the console near the switch? just so when/if u do decide to add front control its a piece of pie...
