teh stepper motor solder joints go dry on those, but it was working, so i don't see a reason why it shouldn't now.
i work with them sometimes, the odo gears always stuff up.

you want to cehck the resistor in the cluster ...chances are it has kicked the bucket..... apparantly this resistor is the cause of most ea to ed cluster problems..... a local lecko should be able to fix that....
