Doesn't look like a clip.
My only thought is it's maybe from some of the taxi equipment? But there's no signs of my car ever having a roof sign (no sign of holes or any damage or markings on the roof), so I dunno! (P.S., feel free to tell me the answers to my maths questions in the background...)

I can see huge pictures, and looks to me like the terminal point for an antennae of some sort.
