Hey guys,
I've had a constant clicking sound coming from the black box on the left of the aircon controls. It clicks every time I start my car and my indicators go crazy when turned on. However, if I start my car again, it's back to normal. I've purchased a new BEM, and plugged that in, tried to configure my keys but this clicking sound just goes crazy. I've also had problems with the locking system with my locks not working. Not sure if it's all related? I have no idea! I assumed it came with the car, but maybe it's an aftermarket part.

Turns out it's a power supply for an alarm. A couple of years ago I had the aftermarket alarm removed because it was faulty and draining all the power from my battery.
I'm not sure why this is still connected, or how I'd remove it properly.

Still doesn't explain why my doors don't lock any more. I think it's a trip to the auto-electrician then.

So if something wasn't wired properly (or closed looped into that box) every time you try to close/open the doors, the power that is meant to be fed to the actuators might actually just feed to that box and do nothing. Also the indicators are integrated into the stock remote locking system, so one flash of indicators for open, 2 flashes for closing. Probably why it goes hay wire when you use your indicators.
