Hey guys, it may seem stupid after the time and money spent, but the old girl might be coming up for sale soon.
Just seeing if there would be any interest in it.

Some details are:
Series 1 EL XR8
Manual Transmission
LSD 3.23
Sunroof
Full Tickford Bodykit (no rear spoiler though)
Towbar

Modifications:
*Vortech V1 S-Trim Supercharger (only running 5 PSI) but 212rwkw (Should see 270rwkw @8 PSI)
with Wolf 3D ECU running everything, the blower setup runs:
Bigger injectors, Higher flow Walbro Fuel Pump, Intercooled, and the rest that comes with the normal setups.
*Genie Extractors
*New twin into single exhaust
*Sony 7" In dash motorized TV, with a 6 Stacker attached, and running a PS2 on a Custom bracket under the Passengers seat. (Moves with the seat on the rails) 12" Jaycar Dual Voice Coil sub, in box, with battery mounted in boot.
*Lowered Suspension - King Springs Ultra/Super-Super Lows all round, with Pedders Comfort Gas Shortened shocks all round too.
*Simmons FR-19's with Polished outer and Grey Centres, 9" Wide all round, front guards lipped to suit the wheels.
*Of course there's a Camber Kit on the front also.

A Very quick car on the street, even with the low diff ratio. Still get easily over 400km's per tank around town. This is with myself warming the car up for 5 mins everytime i go somewhere. Get 600kms on the highway out of a tank. So basically on par with most of the V8's around, but has a little more performance.

The only reason I would be selling is that I am finishing my apprenticeship at the end of the year, and wish to buy myself a Ute, so that i can actually work out of it. And being on Apprentice wages, i can't afford to keep this and get a reliable work ute, that doesn't look like a bucket.

Asking $19,500 but negotiable of course.

To some guys on here that know, YES the boot will be fixed up and re-sprayed without any holes from where the spoiler used to be!

If there isn't any interest in the car as a whole, i will most likely be seperating the parts off it, as my old man will probably wish to purchase the car, but most likely in a fairly stock form...

So if there's any interest in:
The Blower setup, complete...
or the Simmons FR19's...
or even the TV, PS2 and 6 Stacker setup
PM me.

Pics are in the Gallery, if anyone's interested

Cheers
Dave

I'd like first option on the FR19's.

Noooooooooooooooooo ! Dave, Nooooooooooooo !

Sorry for the outburst...but can't believe the beast is for sale :(

This is a VERY nice car...seen it in the flesh and also had a ride in it too - goes as good as it looks ! For anyone wanting something tough - this is the ducks guts - all the goodies with the go factor too. Sounds like an XR8 should

Good luck with the sale Dave - I'm sure a lucky new owner will be rapt whoever gets it.

Its alright for the moment Steve!
I'm only gauging some interest for it.
Plus everyone one of mates is having a go at me for even thinking of selling it, and some have said they'll disown me!
Twisted EL, i would sell the lot as a whole, unless i could find someone who would want the stacker and PS2 seperatly.
For the lot i would be after about $1,200.

Insurance for me through Shannons works out at just under or over 2k a year. Thats with agreed value to 22k, with all mods listed of course. It was only about $500 more than RACV and they didnt know about the blower. :?

It should be up at Heathcote too this Saturday, so come and have a chat to me then, if anyone wishes too.

* This is only gauging some interest for things at the moment....

The possibilty is heading more towards not selling it, after i've had some 'I'm very disappointed in you' speeches.
I may not make it Saturday, or late if i do. I think the boss is struggling and needs a hand Saturday.

Hey Dave I've still got your jerry can, i'll bring it on saturday just incase I catch you but i will be leaving early, probably around 6.

If you do decide to separate bits (but I don't think you should sell at all) i'd be interested in your wolf!

Cheers
