For sale: Grey Ford Falcon EL GLI sedan Price: EOI i think its worth $5500.00 Extra Info: 234028 kms Reco engine fitted at 185757kmas on 12-8-05 HM GEM reco engine with 4 yrs extended warranty, so 1 yr remaining warranty Body and interior in good condition i rate it 8.5 out of 10 Has Airod LPG system and tank has another 8yrs left before next check Rego till Jan 28 2009 In the last 12 months i have replaced the following - Boge short shock front and rear 6/08 - Pedders low sports ryder springs front and rear 6/08 - 4 New tyres 5/08 - New Gas converter 4/08 - DBA Slotted front and rear disks 6/08 - Bendix Ultimate pads front and rear 6/08 - Coil and Leads 4/08 - Distributor 10/07 - AC condensor 3/08 I have all the receipts for the above work which is all still under warranty. Overall the car is great and drives very well and alot of money has been poored into this car in the last 12 months mainly becuz im picky and want my car to be in top working order and condition. Sorry to be a downer, but you're price expectation is way to high, and GEM engines suck.
LPG is nice, and will add some value. Replacement parts and mods don't add value (sucks I know). Good luck, maybe you'll find someone who really wants a grey EL on gas.

I would of thought replaced parts was a added bonus LOL, as for the HM GEM engine its been awsome and goes very well and never had a issue.

If you are keen to sell you need to be realistic. Look at the NL ghia on lpg that sold on FM. That was a steal but remember its tough to sell anything these days with the credit crises and job cuts. Why did the engine need to be replaced at just 180kms. The HM engine will lose you value on your vehicle as people like original especially if you want top dollar. Look up redbook.com.au that will give you a real valuation of the car and work from there.

Becuz the last owners wife blew a radiator hose and blew the head gasket, so the owner decided for a few hundred more they get a reco engine as they were going to keep the car for a while till his wife wanted a wagon. So they put it for sale and i bought it.
How does a reco engine devalue a car? i bought it becuz it had a fresh engine in there which i thought was a bonus and had warranty on it. PRICE NEGOTAIBLE PEOPLE

Sorry, but you're expectations are still way to high.
As a hint, I couldn't sell my EL (98, low mileage, good mods, prisitine service history) for $2000. Let it go for $1500 (this was 3 years ago now too). You're in an even worse situation.
