4dlvr you will find that being 18 it will cost at least $2k+ a year insurance. The main problem though is you would have to get it engineered in Victoria to register it, which is useless in Vic due to the costs involved and the anal cops we have down here often ignore it anyway :x .

If your happy to risk it though it looks like a neat car, bet it sounds just as good too 8-)

im hoping that vic roads wont findout that its supercharged. i all ready called a few insurance companies and even just cars rejected insuring the car. soo i dunno wats going to happen, parents arent too keen on the car either. so unfourtinatly i think it will be too much of a hassle trying to do everything.
i wouldnt want to waste your time hot eb so il just say good luck on the sale

Well you are not going to belive me, but it uses less fuel now when driving normally than it did in stock form.

My trip computer reads about 13.9L per 100 (average). I do mainly city driving...I worked it out for my self (based on distance and litres of feul) and got 14.1l/100kms so its accurate.

On a run, the trip computer says instantaneous comsumption at 100kph is about 8.5L per 100...it has HEAPS of torque so that is why I think it is so good!

Remember, the car has has been tuned also and been tuned very very well IMO especially for cruising speeds...

As for insurance, Im 24 with 3 speeding tickets in last 2 years, I called up about insurance recently and insurance with shannons for $17k you are up for $1900 per year. Insured for $15k is $1500 per year, Insured for $10k is $1300 per year.

kit is easy to remove. the kit itself is engineered by CAPA (for emissions etc). You need to get the install engineered though. My mechanic said it would be about $200 to do that - dont know how accurate that is or what rules are in other states.

its a sleeper - at the moment it has stock fairmont ghia rims on it so certainly doesnt look like anything crazy....

Ill try get some pics of the car in stock looking form (aka sleeper mode) as it is now...

Goodluck with whatever you buy 4dlvr.

When registering a vehicle they have to see the engine and VIN numbers, i doubt they'd miss that sitting there.
Nice car mate, you couldn't buy one and build it for that price.

If the car doesn't sell and you consider selling the blower set up seperately then PM me as I'll do all I can to grab it at the right price if I've got the dosh...

If you decide to sell the supercharger kit separately I am pretty keen, as I am going to rebuild my motor soonish because I will be able to have it off the road for some time.
