Its going well to scoring that title but is still way off the 10 grand crank!

Well old matey here says it has mods that cannot be seen................................
Maybe this car actually houses the 10 grand crank?

lol funny thing is that a Futura/saphire is a XR without the xr bits
xr front , front rear seat trims , tickford head + ECU and a 345 lsd rear end and leather steering wheel and not forgetting the cluster - its not that hard to do those mods

and a further note Futura's / saphires have rear head rests and body coded side moulds

My ED is a Gli...

Cost me all of 1600 bucks factory manual... Did some minor stuff but like fiend got here and discovered the EL door trim mod and other small things... Made up a lot of stuff as I went on like my power windows etc etc... Even now has an XR front...

Other than the round headlights, what else does an EL XR have that stands out that much that you want? They don't a huge amount more power... For the extra 1 to 2k you could spend on an XR you could buy a turbo kit and getheaps more power than an XR and buy the quad lights and bang... Who is gonna know any different?

When I was younger we used to get smacked over the back of the head told to wake to ourselves when we got bought gifts and didn't like them... Plain ungrateful... You're like a rich kid... Dad buys you a car... and your straight up... Na don't want it... Not an XR not good enough... You should be ashamed... I had to buy my own car...

Anyway that asside... good luck on the task of swapping a 2-3k Sapphire for a 5-6k XR (Prices of Redbook)...

yeah you know its just wrong... its what makes rich spoilt kids obnoxious... they get everything they want... and when its not good enough they're first to say... then you get the "normal" end of society like us where your just bloody greatful to have a car... I loved my ED... it wasn't as new as my mates VU ute... but it was just as quick... I love my car... :) Its cost me 1000's but like all us modifiers would agree... Its awesome fun personalising something...

I have a question which I would like a straight anwser to.

Did you join Fordmods to learn things about your car and how to Mod it and enjoy the chatter with some great people or did you join to dispose of you Base model Falcon?

You joined October 1 2009, have 1 legit post and have started this thread which has caused almost as much interest as the $10,000 crack which was started by a s**t artist. This question has me intersted in the anwser. I the anwser is "I joined to dispose of my car", I think this thread should be deleted.

Bring back the post rule for "For Sale".

+1 for bringing back the old for sale post rule and another +1 for the answer to the above question, cause there seems to be all too many new comers to the site with their first post being in the for sale section, or some other thread that just ends up starting a whole gang of s**t

we live in a world whereby "if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is"...

Can you not see that nobody gives something away for nothing? Just be careful (although if its someone on here everybody seems pretty honnest)...

Cars can be easily pranged and very roughly repaired to be flogged off to young people who have no clue what to look for in car... Just be dubious in what your doing...
