Just got mine, thanks Lee. Yea i'm a bit paranoid about the cabin noise (haven't installed it yet). Has anyone used the old rubber piece from the old handle on the new shifter?

I used the original boot and had no real problems. I didn't notice much difference in the cabin noise, but my car isn't exactly quiet either.

Good to hear mate!

I didn't have time to get mine in today (gig in Mandurah tonite), but I paid for a BPT handle & will get the shifter in on MON.

So, has it made a big difference? Are you using a BPT handle?

How is the stick travel, and the 2nd-3rd changes?

Does it feel natural when you're changing through the other gears?

After much Finetuning, It made a massive difference. Its so short. If I feed first upto around 5000RPM and then boot it into second, the Revs drop to around 4000RPM and the a** just swings!! Took alot of adjusting to get a setting that I am happy with but its well worth it!

Im not using a BPT handle yet. I called Terry at 3.00pm and he said that they were still waiting coz he had heaps on order so I said that was cool and I would visit him on Tuesday.

2nd to 3rd is F**k brilliant. Just push it straight up and it goes right into 3rd! Its like it was ment to be! :P

As for the rest of the gears, due to my settings, they all feer really sporty. Like I said, it feels like Im in a V8 Supercar! Just feels fantastic and I look foward to changing gears.

As for cabin noise, I am still using my original stick minus the rubber "noise reducer" and I get alot of noise. But when I did use the rubber, it was quiet as but it just feels amazing without the rubber crap!

Once again Lee, you have really came thru with this one and done an excellent job!

They just stop the shifter travel where you screw them in.
I thought you just set it where the gear engages fully.

Yup, thats right. Thus making the throw shorter as the factory one tends to over shift. If ya set the 2 bolts correctly, you will find an optimal point for it to stop and this will give you an awesome shift!

anyone know what the two aluminium spacers are for?

it's in the destructions how to adjust the stoppers. if the stick goes too far u can risk busting a synchro ring. i've done it before and it's really annoying. not enough adjustment and they jump out of gear.
