just to confirm, the tri-ax handle is biased towards the driver on a RHD car, correct?

just checking cos 99% of stuff like this from the states is baised towards a LHD setup

It is biased for LHD, Hotwire mentioned that.

I fitted the tri-ax handle to mine (see pic below) which although has a slight LHS bias, actually sits back in the factory position when mounted to the drivers side of the upright.

Even though Hotwire mentioned the tri-ax sits in the factory position, i wonder how hard it would be to modify it to get slightly RHS biased?

The handle is forged, so if you were to heat it enough with an oxy, it would make the handle very weak. I will post a pic up on the weekend to show where the handle sits in comparison.

Are there any complications shifting from 2nd back to 1st? Do you have to shift back to the centre to release the spring, then back to first?

Keep me down for the lot, but I am starting to think I might just grab the box, and then get a BPT short shifter. Depends how much $$$ I have when it comes time to pay up.

Thanks

Im glad we got alot of those querries out of the way :). Also if the wont give us more of a discount for 20-25 or wateva then could we get some gear knobs thrown in for a cheaper than rrp.

They have some pretty nice knobs. ;)

With regards to the knobs, I would rather just keep it to the shifter itself. Its hard enough coordinating getting the shifters with/without the handle organised and sent to everyone.

With the PM's, I posted this a few days ago, you guys probably missed it:
And to all those who have sent me PM's about payment, thanks. For now I need to finish off the buy on ff.com.au, BUT i should be able to start taking your money next week. I just want the other buy finished as not to confuse the money.

So if you have sent me a PM, I will send one out early next week.

For the 2-1 shift, there is no problem with the spring mechanism. Basically just takes a little force to get it there as natural movement is back to centre.

I installed one of these today. 10fold better shift feel, 2-3 shift is fantastic and you WONT miss 3rd ever. You wont regret it.!

I just got a reply from my contact at steeda.. I have bled him dry of the last of his stock LOL. He has asked me to put orders on hold for now until he can find out when the next production batch is to be run.. Hopefully will only be a few weeks.
