It's a stock 4L falcon officer, I swear.. I think theres a problem with one of the leads, she misfires a bit :) I've used that several times...

in NSW there are no power limits for drivers on p's other than no V8 no turbo or supercharger.

buy it and move to NSW.. then you can enjoy.

LOL, thats mean, im thinking i should get head/cam work done on mine when i pull it off for the HG, aim for 200FWKW, should make it go nice and fast and its still legal.

isnt there a whole thing on high output 6's in NSW or is that just factory? NSW's rules on that are sooooo stuffed up, an old falcon V8 is prohibited, but you can drive a brand new falcon/commy which is waaay faster? its just stuffed.

still thinking about waggins head though, it just sounds so good.

i wouldnt go chastising the mods bentles, one of em will take a disliking to you OOPS, too late :D

id better hurry up and do my tax return then, might just be able to afford this (and ive gone 2 years without getting pulled over so whats the cahances of it happening in one more?)

Just dont do anything silly to give them reason to pull you over and you'll be fine. Run a sensible exhaust system and you wont have a problem.

What are they going to do when they hear the slightly lumpy idle? Take you to the local dyno shop to find out how much power you have, and then estimate FWKW?

isnt it up to me to PROVE that the car is legal for me to drive if they decide it isnt? just like with roadworthy checks, they can canary the car for nothing and id have to go get a roadworthy to prove nothings wrong with it.

if ive still got the cash for the head after ive fixed my deranged car, and youve still got it, ill buy it.

What head is it based on? And what's been done to it? New valve springs, seals, increased compression? Number of K's on head?

It is an EF 4L Non-Tickford head.

For anyone not familiar with the Dev5a head, they receive oversize valves, heavy duty double valve springs, exhaust and intake port work, bowl work and a raise in compression to around 10:1 on a virgin block. They are also fully reconditioned at the time of build, so you get valve guides, seals, etc.


As per my original post, the head has travelled approx 20,000KM and was services approx 2000KM ago with new seals, guides, etc.
