i got my 5 speed convrsion for 500 and it came with a free car :). the box is still going strong

I got my conversion for cheap.. It's an EA box, but it's in awesome nick..

Conversion - $496
Extreme 900kg Heavy Duty clutch kit - $285
Flywheel machining - $40
Mal wood clutch pin - $100

It ends up costing a bit more once you factor in new clutch, and other costs.

Certainly does, but it's good insurance.
Other thing is I've got my T5 stripped down at the moment - Cost of seals/bearings add to the overall cost, but I don't like putting a box in that I don't have any idea of it's internal condition.

yeah its a risk, hence i wasn't going to pay crazy prices - but wreckers over here aren't any better anyways, and i'll have the same risks buying a wrecked one as well... so fingers crossed its all ok!
