Not sure which to stick with.

65mm would be, without a doubt, the best size for that combo. I have one here aswell from an AU with matching factory blank EGR spacer, $200 for both. Can work out a swap for the 75 if you want.

Timmeh: Without trying to sound rude, didn't you pick up a set of GT40Ps ages ago, and then decide it was too much work to get the XR8 to go anywhere fast? Changed your mind hey? Just love the sound of the V8? :P

No I got rid of the other heads because the wife got pregnant and we needed the money. So far since the little tacker was born he hasn't cost us any money and I've saved enough to get the work done.
If these heads are in good visual condition when they come off they will get serviced and installed with the cam. Whatever that produces will be good for the XR8 and me and the wife......and the boy.

The TB with spacer cost me $500. I'd hang on to it just in case a supercharger finds it way under the bonnet, hey Kilma!

Oohh, nasty!!! No worries though, but untill that blower goes on it'll be robbing you of precious performance.

Will contact you once i've heard from Dave @ A1.

I ended up buying his heads and doing the same thing, too much work, too much money and now I'm back to square one, for now.

Sounds like I put the original one back on then. Velocity better than increase flow.

Yeah mate, if you dont want to go to a 65mm, i think the 58mm will do you more good than the 75mm.

Fair enough. Congrats on the little tacker. Didn't know you had one of them come out.

Don't look at me for the charger. Mine is staying put.

Alright mate, heads are off and had a visual inspection has been done, exact words from Dave were "Look to be untouched apart from where Yella Terra CNC'd them", so they have not been ported or shaved etc.

One problem though, there is a busted valve spring. Now no point replacing these without upgrading, so we are looking at fitting a set of Crow springs and retainers to them.

Now its up to you here Timmeh, if your still interested, you can have the lot for 900 as they are and replace springs etc yourself, or replace the one busted spring with another std one, OR, we can have all the valve springs and retainers replaced with Crow items and then we'd be looking at $1250 for the lot. This isnt bad though as the Crow spring and retainer kit is $237, plus to get leon to fit them, so if you were to add that to the original $1100 you'd be looking at $1337 plus labour.

Let me know if your still keen mate, and we can work something out. Will post up pics as soon as i get some.

Cheers Jeff

Still keen. I'll take them as they are for $900 with the busted spring on board. Does that new price still include the cam?
I can get the rest done. Is it alright if I pick them up from you in Landsdale and give you the cash for your mate?
I didn't know the 220kw AUs had porting done from factory. Thats a bonus. Is it the same porting as the 250kw TE50s? Or are they a little more extensive?

Yeah mate, that price will include the cam for sure.

Will PM you when we have picked up the heads from A1's which will be some time next week. If you'd like them before then, if you work or are around that way you can pick up from A1 if i organise it with them.

Can we consider these sold so i can close threads in other forums???

Yes consider these heads sold. I'm in Ellenbrook so I'm just down the road from you. I'd prefer to pick them up from you so I don't have to drive far.
Cheers
Pete
