I think with your mile per hour you are on its limits with the setup without making more power. Still it'd be an amazing site seeing a AU wagon chew up a few gen 3 ss's. :D

I dunno, I made 89 mph in a stock au, im sure he can get more than 8 mph more with all that work, probs needs to try a higher stall and lower diff, ie 3000 stall and 3.7 diff gears. 60 foot might be about the same, maybe a tad higher, 2.1 or so, but higher mph will bring her home.

question is where in the rev range are you at the line?? absolute top of third or is there more room before redlining third? a mate of mine reckons in 4 speed auto's you should gear to be at the top of third at the line for best mph, then you work on the stall speed to get launches right.

He is already running a stall and 4.11's :)

Just comparing it to my set up, thats all. My car is running a bit ragged with the box at the moment, I cant rev it past 4500 with out it shifting gears on me.

Anyways, I have run 14.5 at 162kmph, 60 ft was 2.3, If my 60 ft was down to 2.1-2.05, she'd be a close race indeed. Im hitting the top of third as Im crossing the line with 3.23 gears So just wondering what 4.11's will do? Are you just getting into 4th?

I reckon the gearing just depends on what size tyre and where you make your power as well.

Just cant wait till I get a set of gears.

As some of you will already know I have retired the wagon pending if I really want to risk it. Its automatic transmission had blown early January and so I have decided to take it easy so it will last.
This is transmission number 5!! So you can probably see why it wont be seeing any dynos ro wsid again in the forseeable future.I have had alot of fun but as I have posted elsewhere I had to grow up sometime..

it shouldn't be breaking gearbox's that easy.
BTR's can handle more then your putting through it!

ef falcon..what can I say...? Im not boosted but its probably got to do with the shock off the mark which is doing it. At 1.5k a throw it is time to admit that the auto just isnt strong enough for me. I know I know..alot of guys sit there telling me of their force fed sixes lasting forever but this things pulls alot of kays and they are hard kays. ..You play you pay..as they say lol.

Matt I didnt know you sold the beast.. I dont know how you did it?

I am not gonna sell this. Its got to get me some bread back before it gets pulled off the road and I do something ridiculous to it like a 460 big block with cams and supercharger...off road of course..hehe

Matt ..just a question.. what power do you estimate the wagon had at the treads to run this pb? I trust your judgement.

highly depends on how much torque it was making...

could have been around 150rwkw with great torque.. or closer to 160rwkw and not quite as much torque.. so im guessing anywhere say 150-160rwkw..

no worries... but is a guestamte only.. alot of things can effect the dyno readout on the day...but with that weight.. engine configeration/time/elapse'd speed.. you'd be right up there...
