Here we are for a capa V3 5-6 psi kit non-intercooler, running water/meth 50/50. Shame about the intake pipe, I did think this sucks when I had to squash it under the head light on installing it. The writing says 328kws with intake piping removed for more flow....

Thanks for looking.

Hi

I have intercooled capa kit with t trim. 10psi, runs up 400+ rwkw. Ba xr8

I initially considered your kit and was told it would run 330ish rwkw. Just wanted intercooler.

Do you have custom tune?

What exhaust are you running

What sort of temps do you see outside?

Did you cut the front to run intake behind front passenger fog lamp?

Is this the engine belt driven or crank driven setup.

Anyhow anything post 300rwkw is awesome. Dont need anymore seriously. Mine just explodes into wheelspin.

Hi there,

Yeah its a custom tune, but here in the NT the temp is hot and that...would of have an impact on performance. It was tuned in hot shed which was quite hot at the time 30+ easy. Its a reverse rotation engine beat driven, with the inlet facing forward....im thinking of rerouting the piping so that its not squashed under the headlight but somewhere else. (Its 50% squashed atm) I'm thinking also I may have got carried away with the oil as well on the k&n filter?

One question for you would it be worth me filling up with BP98 instead of the 95 it was tuned with?

The tuner said it was starting to run a bit lean with the filter off, what this means exactly I didn't ask ..42lb injectors to small or did he need to map more fuel at higher rmp because of this...don't know. All in all it runs beautifully and I will be rehousing this air filter its got the better of me

Dont let it run too lean. Detonation will result in burnt pistons. I think the injectors are ok at that power. Id run 98 octane always

My setup has a whole punched to the side so the air filter sits behind fog light and ducting intake fitted through whole in engine bay. Doesnt go anywhere near the headlight. Filter is outside engine bay.

As your setup is not intercooled id run the filter outside the engine bay so cooler air, keep your charger cool and reduce intake temps as much as possible. Keep an eye on your water/meth levels. Dont wanna run dry.

Also I removed the rubber on the end of the hood near windscreen, lets some airflow under the hood and air escape from under hood. Every bit counts with underbonnet temps.

Cool thanks for the tips! Mines out of engine bay but mines just just squashed under the headlight unlike yours that runs through the hole cut in the metal. Mine sits behind the fog light next to the wiper bottle, just need to try run the piping so its not flat. Theirs bugger all room but im gonna see what I can come up with.

pic here..

I'm think ill run it down the sided of the rad and underneath...somehow hmm

Any cutting of panels for your setup? Id suggest cutting out immediaI can taketely below intake part of supercharger and feed straight down. Under headlight area too small to cram the intake tube through.

I can take photos of where mine is cutout if you want.

Pull the bar and headlight off and cut from underneath. Then just feed through attach filter on from below and put back together. Run it away from radiator, too hot.

Yeah..its just so tight with the reverse rotation, im gonna have a good look at it tonight and see what I can do. 8-) I'll work something out, and report back when I can. Nar never cut anything with this setup.

Any restriction on the intake side of supercharger = loss of power.

Just cut it. Worst case if you return to stock airbox sits over it.

My car has holes on side and top, washer bottle relocated.

Let me know how it goes and goodluck with it.

Thanks for the reassurance, im kind of p****d he didn't just put a 330kw tune on the flashtuner and then I could reprogram the comp to suit. I'll let you know how I travel, ill take pics of pipe atm and later for reference.

Give you an idea of the tubing for now, while I try figure out this jigsaw puzzle. As you can see as well I would be cutting my aircon piping...bugger.

Ahhh, thats why my kit included air cond regas. He (installer) relocated air cond pipes. Ill take some pics what was done on my end for your consideration. It is a bit of a puzzle your intake.

Need to decide if your willing to relocate air cond and regas, cut whole. How long since a regas?

Otherwise what about some sort of pod filter straight off supercharger and box off that area from hot engine bay. Or a custom pipework to go under headlight but wider instead of being squashed.

Hey sorry for late reply, all I ended up doing was lightly re-oiling the K@N and tried to make the opening as big as I could under headlight. Didn't have time to do anything major,but... Well took it to powercruise and ran 98 and this is what I got on the dyno there, nice cool morning! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i80oOfJ ... e=youtu.be Thanks for looking.
