I might just by another BBM from a wreckers and get it polished up and put new gaskets.
Whats it worth roughly to get one polished, if i do some of the prep work myself.

its alot of f**k around if you dont have the correct tools. Im sure pro's do it in a couple hours but will most probably charge you couple hundred.

im in the process of polishing the top half of a bbm i got lying around for the purpose of selling it. Will end up taking me around 10 hours so will be looking for $110 once finished

Unfortunately the 'prep' work is 80% of the job...... the first rough sand to get the casting holes out, is very time consuming. Ive tried using electric tools before, and all they do is gouge out the alloy.....
