The XF is a 302w iirc, and had a pair of superchargers mounted up top, mods to the bonnet & is running GRA.

Cheers

Interesting idea... but I can't see the effort involved in getting two in there being worth what extra power it would give. think i'd swap to a 112 before I tried 2 m90's... still, an interesting exercise...

Hi again - Good going matey... There is a whole heap of info about the various switches on the clutch and cruise control and all of that available - But, basically, you'll sort it out your way. I hooked up a clutch switch to hold down the "res coast" button on cruise control, and (has been fully tested on my thread by myself and BENZ) the original Ford factory manual cars did not have a nuetral switch killing the starter motor, meaning you could start in gear. The neutral switch merely goes to a pin in the ECU which then changes the engine management... And that's all the neutral switch does - Replaces pin 64 or 32 or something which usually comes from your AUTO to tell the ECU which gear it is in via a wide range of resistances.

I'm not telling you anything new (nor useful) here am I?

Good work.......

Installing the T5 shifter is easy enough matey, as described by Troyman and myself on this site... You can improve things slightly by using little rubber washes between the shifter handle and the "input" and also remember to make sure you can move the shifter through all the gears and have a gap similar to a spark plug gap between the adjustable stopper and the shifter. Put it into 1st, 2nd, third and fourth and adjust the stoppers until they only just touch the shaft and then take a turn off to provide the gap required (otherwise you will get an unholy racket of vibrations....)

I found that the shifter unit would catch on the aft side of the floor pan when trying to drop gearbox with shifter unit attached. This meant that each time the box has come out the car I've had to remove the shifter from the cabin side first. No dramas.

Yeah.. I could do that... but I'm from back in the day when we actually checked we were in neutral before starting the car so I'm not really fussed about stopping it starting in gear.... The pedal box I have already has the cruise switch attached to the clutch pedal so it should be pretty simple to plug it in...

Good to know... I'll get to that after it's all in the car I guess.

Bummer, I was going to put the shifter on in the shed so I didn't have to d**k around doing it once it's in the car....
I'll see if I can find that lovely photoshop instructions you did and give them a read... Ta

Okay - Since pedal box has switch already....... Being original item (hope you welded it up good - I know you would have.... It's on a previous page here somewhere isn't it?) you can strip the cruise control wires between the clockspring and the firewall and put a switch ... Bugger this.,...

Try page 28 or 29 or 30 or something...

I would tell you, but I don't remember so would simply be re-reading my old s**t and typing it in again. You'll be wanting to ignore the last step... (Wish I had ignored the last step too --- My foot has slipped off the clutch pedal once or twice and I've lost the pedal up under the dash as the long microswitch arm sticks the pedal up there somewhere... Bloody funny... Albiet a bit on the scary side at first...

That sounds very cool, and i'm sure it will entice more than a few members to supercharge their falcon's!

Cheers

yes mate we will also supply kits for the barra engine platform

the kits will be supplied with 5th gen magnuson superchargers ( m112 ) new , but the manifolds will also be available seperate , we expect the complete supercharger kit to cost 3.5-4k max

the m112 can support 600hp , power levels will depend on many factors

no pictures as yet ( only the original prototype was fitted/tested ) in the next few weeks we will have pictures of the manifold and system fitted :)

Excellent, can you open a new thread on this as I have more questions so we dont clutter up this already extensive thread.

I'm not sure if snort is a sponsor?
he may get in trouble if he starts threads, i'd suggest contacting via PM.

or ask on boostedfalcon, geoff is active and free to update on new products over there.
