problem is I don't know who to trust.

I'm going to wait and see how all my quote requests went, and I'll decide from there. I do have a friend in the US who could probably send it though if I asked nicely.

ive bought alot of stuff from summit racing.. (almost my entire build was sourced though them)

they charge $20 odd for the fact that your an overseas customer, then freight.

if your getting stuff international your best getting a bit of stuff in one go, make the package worth while.

to give you an idea i paid freight
$125us for a 27lb
$147.50 for 33lb
$102.50 for 21lb

and even tho a paid nearly 300 in freight for my two cylinder heads i came out nearly 700 ahead of buying them locally..

just a thought..

Sweet..

however I just found these.. (been googling this for hours now)

http://www.vpw.com.au/product.asp?CatID ... odID=51142

Has the TD kit in Au for a hundred bucks.

A1 has a generic multi fit relocate for about the same:
http://www.a1hiperformance.com/docs/pro ... rod_id=674
(Just noticed that these guys are only 30 minutes drive from here.)

And apparently Speco make one and Coventries is the distributer.

Figure if its 50 US plus shipping.. from the US.. it will work out as much as AU, and take longer to ship..

will try Coventries first, and failing that, probably try VPW.

don't want to wait for huge time either... the iron is hot.. :-)

Hi all,

On another note, I just did another measure up with the charger.. and it is very likely that I can fit the thing in with it sitting dead flat under the bbm with the intake facing up... would be great if I can because of several reasons.

1. Makes the bracket that will hold it in just a solid L shaped bracket with one side bolted to the engine (air con bolt holes) and the other side of the L (horizontals) has the M90 bolted to it. (could also use slots to allow for extra belt tensioning too.)
2. Makes it more likely that the air compressor will fit under it.
3. Inlet and outlet are already pointed at where they need to go. (air box for the inlet and pointing towards where the inter cooler would go for the outlet.

This could really work.. and be easy enough so that others might give it a shot.

VPW would be the go

alwasy good reports from them

dont worry too much about belt tension
as long as u get the right length belt
the auto tensioner will work and do its job for u :)

shoot keedlez a pm about his whipple setup, his is mounted flush against the intake side of the engine, on its edge
|| head ||O]) <-- charger

nice and neat, almost completely stealth, you can barely tell its there.

Did a search for that user on here More Grunt and found nothing.. I'm interested in seeing how anyone else did it.. but I do plan on running an intercooler, so won't ever be using draw though.

Tomorrow I go and get my Oil filter re-location kit and fit both it and the remote TFI module..

Then I start fabbing my charger mounting bracket..

getting somewhat excited at the prospect...

Buying the kit from these guys:
http://www.a1hiperformance.com/
It isn't the TD kit I wanted, but its the one apparently everyone has so it must be ok.

The TD kit is not for sale anywhere in australia that I can find anymore.. that other mob had it on their site but said that they don't sell it anymore.

A1 performance have it in stock and are only a 30ish minute drive from here.

I'm going to fab the bracket out of plywood first.. easier to work with and strong enough to hold it all in place for measurements.. once I have it right, I'll use it as a template to make a steel one.
