was out at calder last friday night and manage to run a 14.2 at 100mph on 7 psi with my standerd computer and injectors in place with rising rate fuel reg. (wolf and 550s not fitted yet) had a good 2.o second sixty foot but 14.2 is dissapointing. i know i need to get it tuned but been lazy, it has a stock motor with 170 psi in each cylinder so comp is not an issue. turbo is an off the self garrett t66 turbo with ar70 comp not to sure on turbine but think it is 1.02. car runs a manual with 3.45 gears so pull in first and second in sweet but put it in third and is lagy untill about half way throu.
car still has a 1673 cam so thinking going back down to a 1604 wade cam might help plus with the tune and bigger injectors.
i wont to keep this car manual cause its more fun just dont wont the lag.

any help on making it less laggy wouldbe nice thanks guys

I'd be looking to get the tune done asap.

Dunno, with those sixty foot times it looks to be going hard off the line, maybe its the top end, either a bit rich or lean and it will cost the top end.

Maybe a dyno run and check Air Fuel Ratio's, if they check out to be fine, then I'd be looking at your driving. :D

leave the cam its not the problem, but u could advance it alittle.

it just needs a tune it would be to rich, with incorrect ignition advance.

You will get far less lag with auto and heaps better 60Ft times.. The turbo spools on converter BEFORE the go light comes on.. The turbo won't spool on rpm alone.. I suggest get it tuned properly and set up a two step rev limiter so it builds boost while staging... In effect it becomes a pre stage anti lag program... Hope you don't have a T5 tranny...

Get an auto with a 3000rpm stall!! shouldn't have much lag issues then, and you should get faster times as well :)

Graham - your one funny guy, you just used these words all in the same context...

Two-Step
Anti-Lag
T5....

hahaha..

on the topic though, theres no point chasing possible solutions, without first checking some vital signs... a/f and ign for starters
