I got a catch can last night, its a monza one with 2 inlets on top and a screw lid.
Do I connect both rocker cover hoses to the inlets on the catch can? How has everyone else whos running a catch can set theres up? |

Rear hose on the rocket cover is just a breather personally I put a mini filter on it instead.
Then for the PCV live I just put the oil catch can inline. |

If i remember what I read correctly a car with a filter on the rear line will fail an emmissions test and become unroadworthy.

The oil catch can suppose to catch oil like a moisture/water filter on a air compressure. one line is from the rocker cover to the can, the other goes into the intake tube. more or less its a filter. thats my opinion on it... anyone?

so am i putting it inline of the pcv valve line or the rear breather.
everyone on different forums say different things. |

Rear breather --- catch can ----- intake before turbo.
The PCV if working correctly should only let air in 1 way so it wont pressurise the rocker cover on boost. |

thanks for that Dansedgli.
at the moment my pcv isnt connected to anything because the plastic connector broke off the manifold the other day so i just connected the other vaccum hose that was near it because i thought that would be more essential. Can I just reconnect the pcv hose to before the butterfly in the throttle body instead of blocking it off. |

Umm not sure it would work in the same way.
Can you fix the broken fitting? If its hard I'd just block it off or run it to the catch can as well. |

yeh i can see why it wouldnt work the same, because theres constant vaccuum when its connected after the throttle body but now if i connect it before it.
whats the use of the pcv anyway, is it just another breather with a valve like the rear one. |

The breather to throttle body MUST be disconnected and attached to filter via catch can...
If you don't you will boost crankcase and blow oil everywhere !!! Block or seal vent in throttle body... Generally the PCV is ok as it shuts on boost and only works on vacuum...

Done that once in a VL and f**k it was nasty. I never seen so much oil in an engine bay in my life. All just from the seal for the dizzy drive failing when being blown with 17psi. |

sorry to thread mine, but does anyone have a picture of their catch can setup they can show me? I need to get one fitted very soon and was wondering how they look all connected up.
