Just purchased an au11 xr8 just want to no by looking at visuals if there's a way of telling the difference its build date was 6/02.
Ive heard that if it has a tickford snorkle and tb that it may be but how else can ino apart from taking the rocker covers off to see if it has roller rocker. As i think i heard around the grapevine that the 200 had then and 220 didnt Can some one elaborate on this thanks steve

Are these the standard injectors for this model windsor also.....

Those are stock injectors for a series 2/3 AU XR8...
Look on the side of the throttle body, if it has the TICKFORD WINGS on/near the throttle body it is a 220kw version.... |

Doesnt seem to be anything on the tb to show a tickford inprint has the tickford snorkel apart from that unsure

6/02 should be a Series 3 AU XR8, not series 2.
And if it is actually an XR8 it should definately have Tickford Wings on the front face of the T/B. Those blue 24lb injectors are std on both 200kw and 220kw XR8's. Are your mirrors colour coded to the car?

mirrors are colored coded and yes it is a series 3 apon looking at the compliance plate. cant see any tickford wings on th tb though ill have to have another look in the morning

Pulled the rocker cover off one side today to find yella terra roller rockers, which now gets me confused as i think 200's had crane rockers and 220 had yella terra, also only has the standard tb but has the little cooler out front :S
Any suggestions

no ute got the 220kw engine from factory, so maybe its been modified? or engine transplant?

Some infact did so ive heard, this engine is untouched yet has the yella terras also the small cooler out front and the tickford snorkle from factory untouched sooooooooo
They may have ran out of 200's and put a 220 in this particular ute being thats its a series 3 :s

I was looking into this years ago when they started bringing out the pursuits and alike.
