I saw this one ebay and wondered if anyone knows anything about them.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0316756956

i am looking at putting and explorer manifold on my windsor and was wondering if this would be worht adding too?
i have standard cam and heads at the moment and run mostly on LPG. I know the mixer is a bit of a bottleneck and i will be looking into what ican do about that too?
Cheers for any advice.

I'm under the impession that the Explorer opening is capable of taking a 65mm TB but a 70mm TB is slightly too large and you may lose the added benefit of the extra 5mm. It would fit on a GT40 / cobra intake as their opening is 70mm.

That T/B looks like a 4.0L one anyway.
Gotta laugh at the 15kw at the wheels gain quote, lol.

Definately just go with a 65mm if your gonna do it.
Common price for an ex-AU 5.0 one is about $150. Quite a few usually floating around all the forums and e-bay.

Cheers Jeff.
I will keep my eyes peeled for an au one. Is it 65mm for all the Au series V8's?

Yep all AU V8's except the 220kw which got the 70mm's and the 250kw which got the 82mm.

A 75 is too big for a 5.0 depending on your mods....you may go backwards in performance.

Depends what the 8psi is from?
Centrifugal = No
Turbo = No
PD blower = yes in fact it's probably a little small but once again it depends on the rest of the combo?

I found that out the hard way.

It is pretty lethargic down low with the 75mm.
