hi guys wondering if anyone has accessories and brackets from a lx mustang.

I was wanting to remove the bracket system i have on my motor so that the a/c compressor is mounted nicer, (currently eb style)the lx style is high mounted on the l side dosent hit the strut tower.

motor is in a xg falcon, have seen this in a xf conversion before, i relise i only have to dent the tower and it will fit but just looking for a nicer finish

or does any one have a better idea without resorting to expensive aftermarket systems.

You'll need to use the '86-'93 mustang(or F-series) timing cover and water pump as well. This will of course start to add up $$. They use different accessories and the whole lot sticks out further than the Falcon setup which makes it more trouble than it's worth.
I'm sure there's enough meat on the Falcon stuff for a cut and shut of the bracket? Have you ground off the unnecessary lumps and bumps on the A/C compressor?

You can rotate the A/C bracket by slotting the holes slightly where it mounts to the head and counterbore the rear attach bolt lug on the A/C pump, then install a allenheaded bolt. This will give all the clearance you need.

Or alternatively you could space everything out on the front. You dont need another timing cover. But you will need a different crank pulley and waterpump. Good oportunity to upgrade to underdrive pulleys and you will have a new water pump.

Both ways work well and have advantages/disadvantages.

the setup i seen run v belts cant remember for sure but i think ac compressor was v belt to. sounds like good ideas from both of you.

the price does add up o think i wll just cut a small hole in the strut tower.

currents i have made a bracket to run pulley in place of the ac compressor

you can take the A/C pump off and just use a 4.0L belt. Nothing else is needed.
